This great motocycle tour to the North of Vietnam starts at around 8AM. The trip to Ba Be takes around 5 hours. Some stopovers on the way are planned to visit Thai Nguyen, a local market and a village of the Tay minority. We arrive in Bac Kan around noon and have lunch at a local restaurant. Once we reach Ba Be Lake, there will be time to visit the peaceful neighbouring villages of the Tay, Dao and Hmong ethnic groups and explore further the typical cultural features of the local people. It will be a memorable time if you join in and help our host prepare dinner of delicious local dishes.

Saying good bye to the family, we’ll ride motorbike on the back-road through some rustic villages and the jungle in Phia Oac National Park. Then we motorbike across some streams. This promise to be a great day for off-road Vietnam motorbike touring. Stop in Bao Lac town for lunch. 
In the afternoon, we will experience the most breathtaking road in the whole of Vietnam. At the altitude of 1200 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains, offering an exceptional view of the valleys and mountain sides decorated with terraced hemp fields. The afternoon ends by riding motorbike to Dong Van town. Time for your own exploration of Dong Van’ Old Streets. Night in Dong Van Town.

After breakfast, we first visit the Dong Van weekly Market to meet the locals and check out their fascinating crafts and speciality products. Then we keep riding to Lung Cu flag tower with its important historical significance of marking the Northernmost point of Vietnam. After conquering the 389 stone steps and climbing 140 spiral stairs to the peak, visitors can admire the spectacular natural scenery of Dong Van Karst Plateau, terraced rice fields and ethnic villages. Looking down at the foot of Rong Mountain, you will see two lakes called Dragon’s Eyes, located symmetrically on either side of the mountain.
We continue the trip by visiting Lung Cam village, Vuong Palace - house of H’mong king and Heaven Gate in Quan Ba. This is for sure the best motorbike ride in Vietnam with many interesting and amazing things in every meter of the road.

Today we head straight towards the North-western moutain whre the main Hoang Lien Son Moutain range dominates the road until Sa Pa. The road is very smooth with a good view of green moutian, rice fields between lovely villages. Have lunch at the local restaurant in Bac Ha town. 
The afternoon is dedicated to a beautiful hike through the amazing scenery of Sa Pa valley. On the way up, your eyes will be fed with the view of rice terraces hidden behind morning fog, a truly awe-inspiring sight.

After breakfast, check out hotel and we continue the road to Mu Cang Chai. We ride ascending to O Quy Ho pass. With an altitude of 2047 meters above sea level, it’s recognized as the highest pass in Vietnam. It’s a must to stop at the peak to take photos of the magical valley from afar and enjoy the fresh air. From here you can also see Fansipan Mountain, known as “the Roof of Indochina'' with its peak cloaked in clouds at 3143m. The road meanders through Hoang Lien Son mountain range, with its ever-higher mountains, its villages lost in nature and its minority ethnic groups.
We arrive in Nghia Lo City by 5.00 PM. Night at the homestay.

We keep riding up and down into a forested and high moutain region populated by Thai peoples. We will hike up a very high moutain pass before descending into a moutian tea-growing region. 
After lunch, we will traverse lush and green landscapes to get to the ferry terminal. Along the way you will meet some H’Mong, Thai, Muong villagers. While navigating the lake on ferry you will be able to observe beautiful landscapes decorated with rice terraces, bamboo rafts for fish rearing cage, traditional wooden houses… 
We arrive in Mai Chau Valley by 5.00 PM. Night at the homestay.

In the morning we will ride to Pu Luong. The road leading to Pu Luong Nature Reserve takes you to breathtaking mountain passes and offers fascinating bird’s- eye views of the whole valley. After 3 beautiful moutain passes - Co Lung, Thung Khe and Doc Cun we will have lunch and then join the national road back to Hanoi.
